Front-wheel drive is standard on all trims. All-wheel drive is also available. The vehicle hits 60 mph from a dead stop in a mere 7.5 seconds. This is a fantastic time for a vehicle of the Tiguan's size. In terms of fuel economy, the Tiguan achieves 20 mpg on city roads and 24 mpg on highways with all-wheel drive as well as front-wheel drive.
