The engine is tied to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission along with an all-wheel-drive system. The vehicle has an off-road driving mode that the vehicle operator can select at any time. Other drive modes include sport, normal and custom. The Golf Alltrack reaches 60 mph from a dead stop in 7.5 seconds. It takes slightly less than 16 seconds to reach the quarter-mile mark. In terms of fuel economy, the Golf Alltrack provides 25 miles per gallon.
Safety
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has awarded the Golf Alltrack the highest possible safety rating of five stars. This vehicle is rife with safeguards. Automated emergency braking and cruise control are optional. Other protections include hill-descent control and a backup camera.
