Volkswagen Branches Out To Arts

Volkswagen activities have have turned their sights on a more delicate area of creation: cultural engagement. Understanding how important the arts and how they shape us is a hard thing to quantify. Still, the Volkswagen Group is creating a new initiative that will premiere as a massive art installment called the “Rain Room.” Although Volkswagen is renowned for their contributions to cars like the 2015 Volkswagen Golf, this kind of expansion is not entirely unheard of for the creative automaker.

According to PR Newswire, this is being spearheaded by Volkswagen executive Dr. Jochem Heizmann, who is hoping to create bridges between Western and Eastern art. This collaboration signals an agreement to move forward with creating a bright and multicultural future.

Prof. Dr Jochem Heizmann said at the opening: “Art and culture are the driving force behind innovation, because often it is above all artists who manage to ask questions which awaken the urge for new discoveries. Volkswagen therefore promotes interaction with creative work with the greatest conviction. By supporting this exhibition, we will provide the starting signal to establish a creative platform which offers people new inspiration and provides an interesting perspective on the significance of environmental sustainability.”
